Technology's Magical Mystery Tour with Jeff Harrow
Tuesday, January 14th, 2003
Wellesley Gateway Building, 93 Worcester Rd., Wellesley MA

Directions to the meeting
(note that the meeting will not be in the usual venue)

Jeff Harrow, author and editor of The Harrow Technology Report, will provide us with "Insight, analysis, and commentary on the innovations and trends of contemporary computing, and on its growing number of related technologies. An ongoing journey towards understanding, and profiting from, a world of exponential technological growth!"

Some of Jeff's topics include:

  • How computing power is set to explode through advances in traditional semiconductor technology, molecular computing, quantum computing, DNA computing, and in ways we have yet to consider;
  • How storage densities and fiber bandwidth are improving so fast that they leave the vaunted Moore's Law in the dust;
  • How nanotechnology is preparing the way to change the very nature of the "things" around us; and many more...

To find out more about some of Jeff's thoughts and predictions check out www.TheHarrowGroup.com

Jeff has made presentations to NEMUG on two other occasions, the first back in 1998 with fascinating glimpses of the future! Jeff is now Principal at The Harrow Group, and has been the chief technologist for the Corporate Strategy Groups of both Compaq and Digital Equipment Corporation.

This will be a fast paced, exciting presentation that is sure to provide you with an enjoyable evening and many interesting ideas about the future of Information Technology in our work, in our lives, and in the lives of our children.

Important Note: The evening will start at 6:30 PM with a buffet dinner including meat, fish, and pasta entries with all the trimmings. NEMUG is sponsoring the buffet and there will be no charge, but we ask you to please email Ben Hurley at bhurley1@Partners.org to make your reservation to help us get a count on how many will be coming.

Directions to the meeting: Wellesley Gateway is at the intersection of Routes 128 and 9. Free parking is available at the building.
